The CHS Marching Spartans

The CHS Marching Spartans are evolving, and we want YOU to be part of the journey! Below you will find all of the information to get you started on your way to become one of the Legion. Join one of the top bands around and help shape the next chapter of our growth. Don’t just witness the evolution—be a part of it!

Marching Band Information

  1. Enrollment in the CHS band class is required to participate in any extra-curricular ensembles. Exceptions are made for IB Juniors and Seniors on a case by case basis.​

  2. Students are required to attend SUMMER BAND CAMP that takes place mid July. Please click the link to access the band camp page for dates and important information.

  3. Parents: Attend the new student information meeting that is held in May. Information for the meeting will be updated in March of each year.

  4. Review the Marching Band Handbook, Band Fee Breakdown, and complete Commitment Fee deposit by March 15th, 2025. Documents have been posted below.

Materials Needed:

  • Instrument in working order

    • Limited small instrument inventory. Students may need to rent or own their own instrument.

    • Larger ​instruments are available for checkout.

  • Instrument accessories: tuner, valve oil, slide grease, cork grease, proper mallets & sticks, spare reeds, etc.

  • Music AND pencil

  • Black 1” three ring binder and sheet protectors

  • A devise to access the Ultimate Dot Book (UDB) for drill work (not needed for front ensemble)

    • Phone or Tablet​​​​​​​
